FRESH WATER GAME FISHING
Baltimore County offers a premier resource for fresh water sport fishing in the Loch Raven Reservoir and the Pretty Boy Reservior. These empoundments are part of the Gunpowder Watershed and are protected areas. The upper Loch Raven Dam was originally constructed in 1912, to a height of 188 feet. Ten years later, it was raised to its current height of 240 feet, with a 288-feet-wide spillway. In the early 1970's, structural improvements to the face of the dam, and mechanical improvements to the intakes were completed. This well-known local landmark impounds the Loch Raven Reservoir, which holds nearly 20 billion gallons of water. Thousands of local and regional citizens enjoy the reservoir's watershed year-round, for its recreational and natural features. But over one million people in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Howard County, and Anne Arundel County, rely on Loch Raven Reservoir for the drinking water in their homes, businesses, and industries. Therefore, protection of this dam is critical to the continued safe supply of drinking water throughout the region.

LOCH RAVEN FISHING CENTER
The Loch Raven Fishing Center, located at 12101 Dulaney Valley Road on the shores of Loch Raven Reservoir, offers an assortment of services for anglers, canoeists, boating enthusiasts and folks who merely want to get away for the day. Bait your fishing rod and test your skills against a variety of fish including large and small mouth bass, yellow perch and northern pike. Rent a boat and enjoy a relaxing day on the 2,400 acre reservoir. Dock your boat for the season for as reasonable a rate as you'll find in the County.

The fishing center provides numerous services, offering boat rentals, freshwater fishing licenses, bait and launching permits. So come on out and enjoy the tranquil but live waters, beautiful wooded scenery and peace and quiet of one of the County's best-kept secrets.

LONGVIEW GOLF COURSE (Public)
Longview Golf Course is a very special course since it offers area residents entry-level difficulty suitable for senior, youngsters just developing their skills and more experienced golfers who want a day of golf and a good score. This course offers serene beauty and convenient location.

Directions
Take I-83 N. Take the PADONIA RD exit, exit number 17. 0.2 miles Keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp. 0.1 miles Merge onto PADONIA RD. 1.9 miles Turn LEFT onto CARDIGAN RD 3.0 miles. You will pass a cemetery on the left Longview is on the left directly across from Dulaney High School

TOWSON GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB (Private)
This course's length can really add to the difficulty. Water hazards come into play on some holes, and the greens feature many subtle breaks that are hard to read. Guests receive a discount on green fees if they play after noon; please contact the pro shot for additional information.

From I-695 going N toward the City of Towson, get off at the Delany Valley Rd exit (it only goes in one direction), continue down the road for approximately 6 miles and cross the bridge, then bear to the right and course should be about 1 mile down the road, look for the entrance on the left side of the road.
